Dr. Anuradha Udumudi founded GeneTech in 1998, pioneering medical genetics services in India, as the only independent medical genetics laboratory offering most comprehensive genetics testing services.

Dr. Anuradha is a doctorate in Human Genetics and her doctoral work on “Risk assessment in cervical dysplasia” (1995) is widely acclaimed and published in several journals. She did her post-doctoral work in genetics at Integrated Laboratory Systems, Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA. She also worked at Walksman institute for microbiology (New Jersey) and UMDNJ Medical School (New Jersey). As a post-doctoral fellow, she won several awards in USA – Young Scientist award of Genetic toxicology and Environmental mutagen society (USA), Best Research presentation of her doctoral work in Saint Louis EMS meet (USA) and Best presentation award for her technical paper in Genetic toxicology and mutagen society meet in British Columbia, Canada.

She has years of experience as research scientist in world renowned genetics laboratories in US like Integrated Laboratory Systems (North Carolina, USA) and Laboratory Corporation of America, one of the largest labs in the world, based out of North Carolina, USA.

Dr. Anuradha Udumudi is active in genetics research and has published papers in reputed international journals like Mutation Research, Environmental Mutagenesis, Molecular Epidemiology, Indian Journal of Human Genetics, International Journal of Anthropology, Perspectives on Cytology and Genetics, etc. She has authored and edited chapters/books on genetics and developmental biology for universities like Ambedkar Open University, and medical bodies in India like FOGSI and IAP. She is currently working on a ready reference book for Obstetric and Pediatric practitioners, a compilation of hundreds of cases. She also worked as a principal investigator for research projects at GeneTech helping multinational drug discovery companies.

Since her return to India in 1998, Dr. Anuradha is actively involved in Continuing Medical Education in genetics and has delivered more than 200 lectures in national and state level conferences as invited faculty, chaired sessions and panel discussions, conducted workshops for doctors, conducted more than 100 genetics awareness programs. She is regularly invited as an expert to AIR and TV channels.
