Introduction

Welcome to GeneTech. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, https://genetech.co.in/, and the purchase of our genetic testing services and products on our website. By accessing our website and using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Services Provided

GeneTech offers genetic testing and counselling services, including but not limited to genetic and genomic testing, screening, DNA storage, prenatal sampling, and genetic data analysis. Some of our services are for medical diagnostic use and should be availed only based on professional medical advice and prescription. You can also avail our online Genetic Counselling service from our qualified expert medical geneticists. :

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase our services. By using our website and services, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and Conditions.

User Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration and ordering process.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.
You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Ordering and Payment

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.
Prices for our services are subject to change without notice.
Payment must be made at the time of ordering. We accept UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card and Netbanking mode of payments. Complete list of payment methods accepted are listed on the payment page of the website.

Shipping Policy

Kits for sample collection at home are shipped only after full amount is paid in advance for the test.
For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).
We will make reasonable efforts to ship your order within the estimated timeframe provided.
Delivery times may vary based on your location and other factors beyond our control.
We are not responsible for any delays in delivery caused by external factors.

Other Terms and Conditions:

Turn around time: GENETECH agrees and confirms that the samples will be processed and results reported as per GENETECH’s turnaround time defined for each test, as is possible, based on the condition of the sample. Where it is not possible for GENETECH to report the results within the turnaround time, GENETECH shall inform customer of a reasonable date of reporting.
Rework sample request: Depending on the condition of the sample received, it may be possible that a rework sample may be requested by GENETECH. In such cases, Customer shall collect a rework sample and send the sample to GENETECH.
Sample collection and logistics: It is the responsibility of the customer to follow directions and instructions provided with the sample collection kit to collect the sample in an appropriate fashion. Customer is responsible for organizing courier pickup or sending sample to GENETECH within 24 hours of sample collection.
Sample requisition: Customer shall complete and send the Test Requisition Form providing details of the case and test requested. Any special reporting requests shall be mentioned on the Test Requisition Form.
Consultant technical support: Customer can call Medical Geneticists at GENETECH on the numbers 98480-41127 during GENETECH business hours (India time) to avail technical support for case discussion, test utility, recommendations, report interpretation, etc.
Counseling services: Cusromers may also avail Online Genetic Counseling service by our Medical Geneticists by purchasing the service online and scheduling an appointment.
Report delivery: Reports for samples from customer shall be delivered by GENETECH’s reporting personnel by email. Terms of Service specified on the reverse side of the report pages are applicable for the reported results. Raw data or material shall not be delivered to customer under any circumstances.
Reporting: genetech shall deliver all reports on GENETECH official letterhead and is directly responsible for the results.
Email reporting: If Customer desires, email copies of reports can be delivered to consultants or patients or both directly as and when they become available.
Cancellation and refunds: GENETECH shall not be able to handle cancellation requests for tests once processing is initiated. You may cancel your order within 7 working days for a full refund, provided the testing kit has not been used. Refunds will be processed within 7 working days after we receive the returned testing kit. No cancellations or refunds are allowed for Genetic Counseling service once scheduled. Used testing kits are non-refundable.

Service limitations

We will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law.

A normal report is defined as absence of abnormalities or deviations or variations from normal results for the sample processed. Such abnormalities or deviations or variations include only those which are commonly known and published, recognizable and identifiable through available means normally used for testing purposes at GENETECH in its day-to-day business for a particular service.
A normal report (as defined in the aforementioned clause) for any specific test in the service does not eliminate the possibility of any other illness, defects, both physical and mental, non-genetic and/or other undetected genetic causes of origin by that test.
Specific test limitations for the service are also mentioned in the interpretation of the results by the Medical Geneticist or the Genetic Counselor at GENETECH. Such limitations only add to those mentioned here. Not mentioning the limitations on the report does not mean there are no limitations, and all those limitations mentioned here are automatically applicable to all result or reports.
GENETECH makes its best efforts to process the sample and study the findings accurately by using good laboratory practices and international quality procedures of genetic testing. Nevertheless, the accuracy of the results is always limited (that is not 100% accuracy).
Slides, DNA, processing data and images, and any other paper work related to processing of samples are stored at GENETECH for a period of two months only. Result data and softcopies of all reports are stored for two years.
Though the likelihood of misinterpretation of the analysis data is extremely small, the possibility does exist.
Turn Around Time (referred to as TAT hereafter), is defined as the elapsed time from the day processing is initiated for the sample received at GENETECH from customer, to the date the report is ready at GENETECH for dispatch to customer. TAT for each test is as mentioned in the test catalogue on this site. All days mentioned are number of working days only. Though GENETECH shall use its best efforts to meet the TAT as mentioned, possibility of delay exists. GENETECH is not liable for any such delays arising out of and not limited to the sample condition or patient’s health condition or technical problems and shall not refund any payment made or entertain test cancellation requests for any such delays within reasonable timeframe.
In case of a test failure occurring after sample acceptance, GENETECH shall provide repeat testing for no additional cost where applicable. No refunds are applicable.

Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, videos, and images, is the property of GeneTech or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content without our express written permission. All report formats and any material delivered to customer as part of the testing kit or as a report is intellectual property of GENETECH. Customer agrees not to use any of this information to supply to third parties, make or sell variations of the products and services, or otherwise utilize the property in ways not confirming to standard usage as a customer of a service.

Our services are provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GeneTech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of our services.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Government of Telangana and/or Government of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad (India).

Changes to Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the effective date will be updated accordingly. Your continued use of our website and services after any changes constitute your acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.
